Buffer Analysis

For assignment 13 I looked at California State Park entry points and the parking available within a three-mile-radius of the park entry point. I found that overall, there are 1,917 State Park parking options available and 1,510 fall within the three-mile-radius of a park entry. I got these numbers by looking at the data attribute tables, and then looking at the statistics.

I got my data through the California State Park GIS database. In the data sets, they had data points for park entry and points for parking available. I imported this data into my map and then created a three mile buffer from the park entry points. After that, I clipped the parking points to only be in the three-mile-radius. The data shown is around the Redwood National and State park.
